OVERVIEW: The Project Manager proactively contributes to the development and execution of contracts by managing the resulting orders of new units and repairs throughout all phases of the manufacturing process.  This full-time role collaborates with customer representatives and all Ideal departments to ensure a final product that meets the customer’s design and quality requirements.  The position reports to the Inside Sales Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Acknowledge orders to the customer
  • Participate in and/or lead internal kick-off meetings
  • Communicate with customers on schedule, shipping, invoicing, witness testing, questions, etc.
  • Communicate internally with internal departments such as Management, Operations, Engineering, Sales, etc.
  • Respond to and process customer transmittals and submittals
  • Document jobs by use of photography
  • Schedule logistics solutions
  • Inspect completed orders prior to shipment
  • Prepare in-process inspection plans when required
  • Lead tours of the factory
  • Escort customers during witness testing
  • Travel when needed

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
  • Three years (preferred) previous project management experience
  • Experience working with customers and vendors in a B2B environment
  • Teamwork approach with excellent communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Technical literacy with proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite, project management, and ERP systems

WORKING CONDITIONS AND WORK HOURS
  • Daily minimum of 8 hours. Weekly 40 hour minimum.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position generally operates in a professional office environment.
  • Travel may be required (likely 25%). Must be able to travel throughout the United States and abroad.

  • is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • must be able to exhibit specific vision abilities required by this job which include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
